My cataract surgery
Had the procedure performed on the left eye a couple of months ago. Great improvement.
Waiting to have the right eye operated on. Had drops in the eye and a tablet under the lower eyelid to dilate the pupil. Given a cup of tea
Procedure took about 30 minutes. Dressing over eye that I can remove a few hours later. Given tea and biscuits and sent home.
I removed the dressing and was relieved to find that the eye was working OK. Similar improvement to the left eye. Steroid drops in the eye four times a day for the next four weeks.
I'm now long-sighted in both eyes. I've been short-sighted ever since my early 20s.
After the requisite four weeks I have to make an appointment with my optician for an appointment to get the eye checked out. I've already done that for my left eye. I can then be prescribed suitable glasses. For now, I'm using a pair of reading glasses I bought some years ago for working on PCBs using surface-mount components.
