MPASM

Microchip dropped support for MPASM in the MPLAB-X IDE in favour of C some years ago. To use MPASM now you need to install MPLAB-X v5.35. If you are using a 64-bit PC you need to install XC8 if you are developing code for the 8-bit PICs.
